Example of imaging inside a tunnel using Infrared Camera
Infrared thermal video system with temperature measurement function can be effectively used for monitoring of fire or water leakage inside tunnels which are difficult tasks for a conventional night vision camera. We recently recorded images of water leaks inside a tunnel using TVS-600. As you will see in the photographs below, clear images which look as if they were taken by a monochromatic CCD camera were obtained. Water leaks which are difficult to be discerned by normal monochromatic CCD camera can be captured as clear gray scale images based on temperature differences. Because of the temperature measurement function, TVS-600 can be used in a variety of fields such as recognition of abnormally heat generated spot, monitoring of fire, and monitoring of invasion by human beings based on temperature. Similar to the case of ordinary cameras, realtime images at the rate of 30 frames per second can be taken clearly from a running car. Uncooled sensor, which is the main feature of TVS-600, enables a long hour operation. Plus with the fact that TVS-600 is designed to be compact and light weight, it can be conveniently used in various fields.
