Quality Control for Extrusion Molding(Plastics Forming Process)
TVS has being used to measure the temperature of film to be used in inflation process of Extrusion Molding.
ln inflation process, plastics are extruded from ring shaped die installed in extruder, nflated by blown air, and hardened by cooling off. Cooled films are wound on a rll without removing air. (After this process, the film is separated in two parts to make two films, or not separated to make bags.)
Since the film is being stretched in one direction until it is wound on roll, the temperature distribution in the tension state controls thickness and strength of the film. However, since the film is so thin, temperature measured by conventional contact method has been impossible. As TVS can do measure temperature distribution of entire surface of the film, the TVS is widely used as a effective instrument to obtain valuable thermal data without direct contact and with having distance to an object.
