Aerial imaging using Infrared Camera from helicopter
The following images were taken from an altitude of 500m using a hand held TVS-600 without the help of an elaborate anti-vibration stabilizer or that sort. As shown below, clear thermal images, which look as if they were the images by a monochromatic CCD camera, are taken. Because of the temperature measurement function in addition to the gray scale image, TVS can be used in a variety of applications including lifesaving activities, such as sea rescue or snow rescue during the day or at night, monitoring for abnormal heating in buildings or electric installations, monitoring for fire and residual fire in forest fires, and invasion monitoring based on temperature. Uncooled sensor, which is the main feature of TVS-600, enables batter operation in excess of 1 hour. Plus with the fact that TVS-600 is designed to be compact and light weight, it can be conveniently used in various fields.
