NEC Avio Infrared Technologies introduces NEW
"InfReC" Thermal Imaging Camera Model R300Z
with Powerful Wide-Angle to Close-Up Optical Zoom Lens
InfReC Model R300Z
NEC Avio Infrared Technologies Co., Ltd., hereinafter NEC Avio, (Head office: Tokyo, Japan; President: Masayuki Kawashima) today announced release of a new Infrared Thermal Imager, InfReC Model R300Z, as the latest member of the NEC Avio multipurpose, high-performance R300 infrared thermal imaging camera series.
The InfReC R300Z is second to none in its uniqueness. With the newly integrated high quality optical zoom lens, easy viewing and capture of both telephoto and wide-angle fully radiometric infrared images is now possible without the hassle of changing lenses. The optical zoom lens, with a focal length ranging from 10mm to 40mm, provides zoomed images with a ratio from 0.5x to 2x. The R300Z with this integrated zoom lens feature is the "world's only" IR thermography camera in its class and within the industry; this configuration was previously only available in NEC Avio's predecessor IR Camera Model TVS-500EXZ. (*1)
f10mm, 0.5x (43°)
f20mm, 1x (22°)
f30mm, 1.5x (14°)
f40mm, 2x (11°)
In combination with the camera's digital zoom feature, the R300Z zooms up to 16x magnification to easily isolate and record target objects at great distances while allowing effortless, wide-angle viewing through the same optics. The R300Z is the perfect solution for PPM (Predictive & Preventive Maintenance) and inspection applications to remotely check large objects. Applications such as monitoring and recording thermal profiles of power distribution networks and building/civil engineering structures are ideal for this versatile R300Z infrared thermal imager.
All InfReC Model R300 Series thermal imagers incorporate Japan-made NEC detector with the latest technology to achieve high performance; R300Z in particular yields a spatial resolution (I.F.O.V) of up to 0.59mrad, temperature resolution(NETD) of 0.06°C(at 30°C) and accuracy within ±2°C (*2).
The R300Z's ergonomic case is designed for easy handling and operation. NEC Avio's ongoing technology improvement allowed a 30% reduction of total camera weight compared to the former Model TVS-500EXZ that offered a similar lens capability. The lighter weight together with a well-positioned center of gravity helps minimize fatigue while holding the camera in a comfortable position to capture images in spite of its luxurious but substantial lens tube.
A supplemental viewfinder is another very important R300Z feature for in-the-field use especially when strong natural sunlight reduces the color LCD monitor's visibility; a built-in LED light and laser pointer additionally identify problematic areas in visible image even in a dark environment.
The R300 series cameras, including the R300Z, offer on-board thermal movie recording directly to an SD Card in a fully Radiometric format (*3). Furthermore, each R300 and the R300Z is delivered with PC software 'InfReC Analyzer NS9500PRO' that supports real-time recording, detailed post-analysis and report creation. The software's simple operation also enables easy filming of moving thermal images (simultaneously with visible images) directly to a PC via USB on a real-time basis (*4) (*5).
Without doubt, this new NEC Avio InfReC R300Z is the most suitable, portable Infrared Thermal Imaging Camera of choice for applications where target objects need to be shot from a remote distance; capture the whole picture with a wide-angle shot and zoom up to identify finer details with the convenient telephoto feature, instantly without changing lenses. Contact NEC Avio today for additional details or to schedule a demonstration.
