On behalf of NEC Avio Infrared Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter NEC Avio), with head offices in Tokyo Japan, President Masayuki Kawashima today announced release of the new InfRec Model R300S Infrared Thermal Imager, the latest member of the multipurpose, high-performance R300 camera series. The new R300S version is designed for Building Inspection, Energy Audit, Civil Engineering, Geology, Veterinary and other applications where higher resolution and lower temperature range is preferred. With a measuring temperature range up to 120°C combined with value pricing, the new R300S infrared imaging camera offers excellent cost & performance.
The R300 series cameras incorporate the latest, Japan manufactured NEC Avio detector technology to provide top of class performance including temperature resolution(NETD) of 0.03°C (on R300S 0.025°C at 30°C with S/N improvement *1) and spatial resolution (I.F.O.V) of 1.2mrad. These specifications are complemented with a selection of optional lenses such as 2x telephoto, 0.5x wide-angle, close-up, etc. to expand field application versatility.
As one of the most appreciated features for building inspection is the "Panoramic Shooting Function" that allows users to shoot images of wide or tall target objects using the standard R300S lens. Grid overlay and a new "Olive" palette features unique to the R300S are useful for this particular application.

In addition, the R300S features a 3.1-megapixel visible camera, thermal/visible integrated images in composite/split-screen display, auto focusing, "Thermal Movie Recording on SD Card in Fully Radiometric Format (10fps)(*2)", wired remote control unit and many more highly appreciated features.
Furthermore, R300S is delivered standard with the 'InfRec Analyzer NS9500STD' PC software compete with detailed data analysis and report generation feature benefits.
Each R300 series camera employs an ergonomic casing design for easy and flexible handling and operation in the field. Included in the long list of convenient operational features are two (2) independent REC/FRZ keys (the most frequently used and important buttons) situated on top and rear panel to allow user to hold the camera in a comfortable position while capturing images from any angle. The R300 series cameras also boast both a built-in viewfinder with eye-piece and a luminous and tilting color LCD monitor.
Optional software includes the 'InfRec Analyzer NS9500PRO' that enables making fully radiometric thermal image movies and simultaneous video capturing and streaming to a PC via USB (*3), and a composite, real-time image display.

Notes:
The R300S is standard with a 60Hz frame rate. There is an 8.5Hz version, Model R300SD, available to facilitate export processing. Reference herein to R300 and R300S collectively includes both 60Hz and 8.5Hz (D) versions.
