Studying on How Plant Grows
The plant is greatly influenced by slight environmental changes, such as the amount of daylight hours, temperature, water level and so forth on their growth. The fluctuation of those environmental factors seems to be in the tendency of increase, and it is so often said those are caused by global warming. With cold weather, flood and water shortage by hot and dry weather, various plants may become under grown. So, extensive studies to ensure complete development are accelerated and going on further.
Rice Paddy
Domestic rice shortage two years ago caused by cold weather in Northern Honshu in Japan is not old in our memory. With changing the water level in the rice paddy, the surface temperature of the water has been measured by TVS. As the result of this measurement, it is found that water temperature does not go down even though in cold weather if the amount of water is kept much enough, in higher water level.

Lawn
The development of lawn can be observed with relating to the degree of sunshine and ground draining by TVS. It is possible to keep the development of lawn in the best condition by measuring regularly the temperature distribution of lawn field and knowing the relationship between the development of lawn and the temperature.
